Having Problems With Your Scalp? See What Could Be Causing It
Mar 14th
The issue of having scalp problems is nothing new; people have been dealing with this use of flakes falling from their hair for years. It is often accompanied by itchiness of the scalp. People are also having problems in determining if it is dandruff or psoriasis. Sometimes it will start as scabs and scales that turn into large flakes falling from your scalp.
However, there are reasons why these scalp problems occur. One of them is experiencing excessive stress. Climate change is also another factor. It is not only the temperature that affects the condition of the scalp but the humidity level in the air as well.
Chemicals and hair products may also cause scalp concerns. Shampoos, hair spray, hair dyes and the like contain harmful substances that may also cause damage to the scalp. You should be careful when shopping for these products. Check the composition of the products first. For instance, when buying shampoo, make sure the ingredients provide moisturizers, natural nutrients, nourishing oils. See if it contains only minimal levels of alcohol just for eliminating bacteria that the hair accumulates from dirt or pollutants.
It is best to choose a product that will manage your scalp rather than just the texture of your hair because a healthy scalp would mean better growth of your hair. A person can also use normal shampoos along with medicated shampoos to treat their flaky scalp. There are also some scalp protection treatments available in the market, which you can apply overnight, or each week depending on the condition.
Finally, keep your fingers from scratching your head and avoid picking scabs or flakes. This could worsen the situation because our hands and nails are not that clean. Often, people don’t have so much time to wash hands as often as possible to have it disinfected.
It would also be best to consult with a physician to make sure that proper treatment can be administered.

Dry scalp problems are on a whole experienced by those who have dry skin. Itchy scalp and dandruff are the most obvious problems connected with immoderate dehydration of scalp. Additional deterioration of this medical problem results in irritation and sores of the scalp and lesions.. If not attended to correctly, then these can break out into immensely worse situations that could demand long-lengthy medications
The dryness is caused by the stripping of nature’s oils from our body. A number of causes contribute to this, some of which are:
Industrial fumes Car exhaust emissions Hard domestic water Toxins in Cosmetics / soaps Bad eating habits
We cannot do enough to alter the environmental surroundings, which in addition cover the standard of water obtainable in your area, but you can undoubtedly switch your eating habits and your selection of cosmetics. The cosmetics that contain Sodium Laureth Sulphate, Sodium Beryl Sulfate and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate are without a doubt unacceptable, notably those containing SLS. SLS is believed to result in lots of contrasting disorders if an individual is in contact with it in excessive amounts.
Moisturizing your dry scalp is the answer to a high percentage of problems faced with a condition such as flaky scalp. There are lots of remedies handy to alleviate you from a variety of scalp conditions. Nature’s oils and moisturizers act on the scalp, return the oil, and undo the harm caused by SLS and such toxic chemicals. A high percentage of nature’s oils such as Chamomile, Lavender and Eucalyptus along with Neem oil do wonders in moisturizing dry itchy scalp. Many of these oils such as Neem oil act as an antiseptic as well.
The pollutants and toxic toxins in the air and our water supply are not about to go elsewhere, so you need to work on a scheduled program to sustain strong hair and scalp. Use moderate nature’s oils and lotions to continually revitalize the scalp and stop it from being bared of the natural state that we are all born with.
Just a few of the oils that are good for dry scalp are listed here: Jojoba, Chamomile, Lemon, Myrrh, Peppermint, Rose, Unrefined Virgin Coconut Oil, Tea tree, Ylang-Ylang, and last but not least Neem, a miracle oil from India. Neem is fabulous for all of the marvellous things it does. It’s obtained from a kind of tree bark. Neem is a powerful fungicide and insecticide (also good for head lice if incorporated with, rosemary, lavender, geranium and eucalyptus oils). In laboratory studies extracts and oil from Neem were found to be as effectual as normal treatments in treating psoriasis with not one of the normal side effects in evidence following the use of Neem.
What are the causes and does anyone have any good remedies for dandruff?
Nov 26th
I went through an enormous amount of stress in the past four years. I have the stress levels under control now, but I have severe dandruff. I have used Tea tree oil, Head and Shoulders and the Tar shampoo. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Could the cause (besides stress) be something I am eating?
